Amidst rising xenophobia, 1st and 2nd gen South Asian settlers in Brampton, Ontario explain their side of the story through interweaving dual language prose and 16mm film.

Amreen Kullar is a second gen South Asian multidisciplinary filmmaker from Brampton, specialized in editing and cinematography. Amreen’s work has been shown at festivals worldwide, winning the audience choice award at the 27th Fantasia International Film Festival and placing third in Season 17 of the CBC’s Short Film Face Off. She recently premiered her recent short film at Hot Docs. Amreen currently helps facilitate a youth filmmaking program at Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival.
