When a pit bull wondered into his apartment, a young Chinese immigrant in Chinatown becomes her caretaker. As he attempts to keep the dog, everyday obstacles—housing rules, money, and fear of authorities—turn compassion into risk. Their brief bond reveals the quiet ethics of care in a city that often looks away.
