New immigrants Emily and her fiancé Vincent arrive at the home of Megan, an old classmate who has lived in London for several years. After so many years apart, their paths cross for one short day, as Megan shows them around their new neighbourhood. Observing how native her friend has become, Emily questions why Megan is leaving it all behind to return to Hong Kong. Both women struggle to articulate their decisions to each other, and to themselves. Megan hands over the apartment keys to Emily, the two exchange fates and carry on in a cycle of uncertainty.
