Thomas Percy Kim is a Korean-American writer/director drawn to raw, introspective stories and poetic imagery. His short, SI, starring Ki Hong Lee, premiered at LAAPFF before being distributed by HBO Max. Another short, BUSAN, 1999, won Best Narrative at SFFilm and BFI, qualifying for the Oscars.
A Sundance Ignite and TIFF x CJ Fellow, he equity-crowdfunded $1M+ for his debut feature ISLE CHILD, which premiered at TIFF. He’s now developing STARING AT THE SUN while building The Vandalist, a new studio system on permissionless creativity.
