Huong

Directed by Jenny Thach

HUONG is a personal documentary told from the perspective of a daughter who accidentally uncovers a secret her mother has carried for decades — a love story marked by tragedy. Through intimate conversations, archival footage, and reflective narration, HUONG becomes a portrait of grief passed down, love lost and found again, and the resilience of a mother and daughter reconnecting through pain, vulnerability, and truth.

Jenny Thach is a Vietnamese-American filmmaker based in Los Angeles, CA. HUONG is her first documentary, blending personal storytelling with broader themes of trauma, identity, and resilience. Her work centers underrepresented voices and seeks to bridge generational and cultural gaps through intimate, emotionally driven narratives.
